When I was expecting my fourth son, my church family held a “food” baby shower for me, because what else could I really need after three other kiddos? It was truly a blessing for me and I had food to feed the family for a couple months after Jesse was hatched. The idea of a food shower is for everyone to bring a casserole or some other food item that was freezable, along with the recipe, instead of other baby stuff. This is the original recipe card (around 21 years old) that was included with the frozen container of soup. I love it and have made it to this day. Yes, it may not be all that healthy, but it’s comforting, and most people go crazy for it. Garnish bowls of this soup with grated cheddar cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, avocados, onions, tortilla chips or whatever you like! Enjoy!! Here is the original recipe card, pretty cool.
