Sean Young is Host of TryThisDish Radio and also works for the Salem Radio Network-SRN out of Irving, Texas. He is currently the Co-host/Producer for The Armed American Radio Show. Previously Sean was a rave DJ in the Dallas area and worked as a storm photojournalist with his company SCY HIGH Media. He studied radio broadcasting at the American School of Broadcasting.
He also loves to cook and share his passion for food through TryThisDish Radio. Well known for his laugh and laid back attitude, he puts every guest at ease during recording. Sean, along with Darie O’Connor covered the Winner’s Circle at the World Food Championships in 2016.
Darie O’Connor, Destination Darie, is co-host and producer of TryThisDish Radio. She brings over 30 years experience in the food industry to the show. This includes many years as a homemaker cooking for a growing family. She assisted in opening two restaurants, worked as a private chef/caterer, became a self-taught food blogger plus has held just about every position known of in a restaurant. Yes, even dishwasher. After raising four sons as a full-time homemaker, in 2008 she returned to college to finish a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
In 2014 she left the criminal justice field to pursue a dream. She began a blog to share recipes, personal stories, restaurant reviews, photographs, and poetry. Dariesdailydish was birthed due to requests from friends and family for recipes but ultimately became a form of personal transition from a stressful career into something else. A life.
In July 2015 she was a featured guest as a food blogger on Try This Dish Foodie Show, a new radio show hosted by Sean Young. After two months Sean assigned her to Co-host and shortly afterwards, producer. Now Darie travels both in the US and abroad, mainly to the UK, to promote TryThisDish Radio and meet new foodies everywhere who need help in branding their business. In 2016 Darie, along with Sean Young , covered the Winner’s Circle at the World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama.
